This piece was made on a mix of many emotions so the viewer of the painting can interpret it how they want. The two main reasons I came up with this piece were my faith and my love for others, so I made an angel of love. I originally was just going to draw the angel wings but then Mrs. Singleton helped me come up with the idea to make the wings into bird wings instead of angel wings. I got excited about that idea because she was supposed to be an angel and mom and dad always used to say that I was God's little song bird and I was going to make it look like she was singing. Then I decided to make the wings pop off the page by cutting every feather out individually. I made the background with chalk pastels and I made the silhouette out of charcoal and blended it together to make it solid. I'm not really so sure what my art means to me. I just really love to create things and listen to music.

The inspiration for this piece is actually from another painting I created a year ago. I got inspiration from a painting I painted of a girl with water as her hair. I wanted to create one with a different element so they could be hung up together. I tried putting more of my new style in with my painting style.
I used acrylic paint to create this piece and I used modelling paste to make the hair actually pop off of the page and show some texture. I wanted her eyes to pop out more than anything else, because that's just one of my favorite things about my artwork, so I made them blue because its a complete opposite from all of the warm colors I used and gave it a nice break from the bright flaming colors.

This painting has an important meaning to me. I originally wanted to create this piece simply because I like the old sheet music look and I also love red pandas. Later on I realized that this piece also holds a deep meaning for me. Red pandas are an endangered species because humans are destroying their homeland. I am the red panda because I am a very open minded, patient, positive, happy, and I have a pretty well rounded life. Meanwhile, society is basically ruining any chances of most other people to have a nice life. Society is constantly tearing everyone down to the point where they don't have hope. It's starting to feel like I am one of the few that can honestly say I am happy with my life, and that's really upsetting. I am the red panda and I kept the sheet music because I want to have a job in music someday and it helps representing the fact that the red panda is me. I ripped up sheet music and lightly painted light yellow watercolor paint on it, then I glue it to watercolor and painted the red panda on top. After I did that, I traced it in ink and added the cloudy drippy background that represents the crazy society we have.

I just recently got a tablet for free from a friend that didn't use it and I downloaded a drawing program and started playing with it. I got really excited that I could finally draw on the computer and I decided to make an art project on it. I used FireAlpaca and a Wacom Bamboo tablet. This was my first drawing digitally and I'm really proud of myself. This project didn't have any specific meaning behind it, I was mostly really excited to draw something digitally.
